The Multilam PrincipleMC Multilam bands are torsion or leaf spring contact elements with unmatched electrical and mechanical properties. The Multilam design produces a large number of louvers, and therefore allows contact to be made through a large number of defined contact points, which substantially reduces the overall contact resistance. There is now a range of some 50 different Multilams, each of which is designed for a specific application. Some bands are specifically optimized for high plugging cycles, while others are perfected for high current loads, both in short-circuit or continuous conditions. |

MC Multilam LA-CUD/...The LA-CUD is the newest contact element in Multi-Contact's lamella family. Its asymmetrical geometry with a narrow louver width of only 9-11.5 mm provides an optimum relationship between operating range and assembly width. The LA-CUD Multilam band is made of silver-plated contact louvers that are mounted onto a stainless steel carrier. Thanks to the narrow design of the LA-CUD compact connectors can be designed that absorb large angular misalignment and handle a wide range of radial tolerance. The contact band is ideal for applications such as low and high-voltage power distribution systems, static or dynamic connecting interfaces, connectors in air, vacuum, insulating oils and insulating gases such as SF6.
